I used Triple Glazing Windows during my house renovation and overall I had a really positive experience 🙂 What stood out to me the most was their professional approach and knowledge right from the beginning. I’ve had these doors for about 3 years now, and in an older house the difference was really noticeable. With the old steel doors, there was always a cold draft around the threshold and frame, especially on windy days, and the hallway felt colder than the rest of the home.

After installing passive doors, the drafts basically disappeared and the temperature near the entrance became much more stable. Even during freezing weather, the inside surface of the door no longer feels icy like before.

In an older property, the improvement is especially noticeable because the difference compared to poorly sealed doors is quite big.

Installation is also crucial — proper sealing and a warm threshold make a huge difference. I had a good team doing it, and I think that’s a key part of the result.

One unexpected benefit was better sound insulation — it’s noticeably quieter.

Is it worth it? If you currently have issues with cold air or drafts, I’d say yes, because the comfort improvement is immediate.

I’ve had these kinds of doors for a little over 3 years now and honestly, it’s one of the upgrades that improved winter comfort in my home the most. Before that, I had regular steel doors, and whenever it was windy outside you could feel cold air around almost the entire frame, especially near the threshold. The house itself was warm, but the area near the entrance always felt noticeably colder and sometimes you could even feel a slight draft.

After switching to passive doors, the difference was noticeable almost immediately during the first colder days. First of all, that feeling of cold air “pulling through” completely disappeared. The hallway itself became warmer and the temperature is much more stable now. Even during freezing temperatures or strong winds, the inside surface of the door no longer feels ice cold like it used to.

The doors themselves are important, but the installation is even more important, which is why it’s worth choosing a really good installation team. Proper installation is absolutely crucial and makes all the difference when it comes to achieving the level of comfort I described above.

If you currently feel cold air coming through around your doors, then well-made passive doors can genuinely make a huge difference — more in everyday comfort than just in heating bills.

Another thing I noticed is the sound insulation. I honestly didn’t expect such a big improvement, but outside noise is significantly reduced as well.
