Hi, We’ve had underfloor heating for just over two years now, so we’ve been through two full winters with it. Looking back, I definitely don’t regret installing it.The biggest advantage is the comfort. The temperature is consistent throughout the house, without the hot and cold spots we used to get with traditional radiators. Another benefit is having more usable wall space, which made furnishing the rooms much easier.
The only thing that takes a little getting used to is that underfloor heating responds more slowly. You can’t just switch it on for an hour and expect the room to warm up straight away. Once I realised that it’s designed to maintain a steady temperature rather than being constantly turned on and off, it became very easy to live with.
If I were building another house today, I’d choose underfloor heating again without a second thought.
