What is the cost of installing a heat pump in the UK and what should I pay the most attention to? Should I choose an air source heat pump or a ground source heat pump?

i’d go with an air source heat pump. A ground source system is more efficient, but the installation cost is much higher and it doesn’t always pay for itself.The main things I’d focus on are good insulation and finding a reliable installer. Even the best heat pump won’t perform miracles if the house is losing a lot of heat.If you have a typical house and not a huge plot of land, If you have a typical house and not a very large plot, I would choose an air pump.

I’d pay more attention to who installs the heat pump than to the brand itself. A friend of mine chose the cheapest quote and ended up dealing with several issues related to the system setup and overall performance. In my case, I used an experienced installer, and everything has worked perfectly from day one.
As for the type of heat pump, I’d go with an air source heat pump. Ground source systems are excellent, but for most homes, the significantly higher installation cost is difficult to justify.
