Hi all,
We’ve been using a greywater recycling system for a little over three years, and I’d say the biggest benefit isn’t just the lower water bills—it’s becoming much more aware of how much water a household actually uses. The savings are noticeable, but they weren’t dramatic in our case.
In terms of maintenance, it has been easier than I expected. We have the system serviced periodically, clean the filters when recommended, and that’s about it. We haven’t experienced any major failures or unexpected repair costs so far.
One thing I would recommend is thinking about how you plan to use the recycled water before choosing a system. Some setups are better suited to larger gardens or bigger households, while others are designed mainly for toilet flushing. Choosing the right system for your needs makes a big difference. Overall, if I were making the decision again, I would still install one.
