Hi, In my opinion, most people don’t need a huge battery system straight away. For a typical three-bedroom home, around 10–12 kWh is usually a sensible starting point. It gives you enough storage to use more of your solar energy in the evening and reduce how much electricity you need to import from the grid.
That said, it’s always worth looking at your own electricity usage, especially during the evenings and overnight. If you’re planning to get a heat pump or an EV in the future, I’d also recommend choosing a battery system that can be expanded later rather than paying for more capacity than you need right now.
