At first, the idea of a smart home seemed great, and I was excited about the possibility of automating almost everything. Some solutions turned out to be very useful – especially smart heating, which allows better control over energy consumption, as well as a few automations related to lighting and security.On the other hand, over time I noticed that many features that initially seemed essential were not actually used that often in practice. In addition, typical issues started to appear, such as updates, occasional connection drops, or the need to manage several different apps. Nothing serious, but sometimes a regular switch simply works faster.
