HI, I took a fairly cautious approach and spent a long time wondering whether solar panels were really worthwhile in the UK. In the end, I decided to install the panels without a battery, and so far I’m happy with the decision. My electricity bills are noticeably lower, especially from spring through autumn. During winter, though, I don’t expect miracles.
In my opinion, the key is to have realistic expectations. It’s a long-term investment rather than a quick way to cut your energy bills. If you’re planning to stay in your home for many years, I’d definitely say it’s worth considering.
