Hi,
we looked into MVHR during our renovation but decided against it in the end. Our house just wasn’t airtight enough to get the most out of the system, and fitting all the ductwork would have meant more disruption than we were comfortable with.
Instead, we focused on improving insulation, sealing obvious drafts, and upgrading the extractor fans in the kitchen and bathrooms. That solved most of our condensation issues at a much lower cost.
I still think MVHR is an excellent option in the right house, especially if you’re doing a full renovation or aiming for a very airtight home. For us, though, the extra expense and complexity didn’t seem justified, and we’ve been happy with the simpler approach.
