I have a fairly similar view to the people above. In my opinion, a battery storage system makes the most sense if you’re able to use a large portion of the energy generated during the day later in the evening or at night.If you’re looking purely at a quick return on investment, it doesn’t always work out as well as some advertisements suggest. On the other hand, higher self-consumption, less dependence on energy prices, and better use of your own solar generation are all real benefits.
If I were making the decision today, I would look not only at the price of the battery itself, but also at the warranty, battery lifespan, and the possibility of expanding the system in the future. I’d be interested to hear from people who have been using a setup like this for several years.
