We had a very similar problem after improving the insulation in our house 🙂 It was much warmer and more comfortable during winter, but in summer the house also started holding heat much more.
In the end we decided to install a split AC system and honestly it was one of the better decisions. Modern units are much more energy efficient than they used to be and with normal use the running costs haven’t been as high as I expected.
Before that we tried things like blackout blinds, night ventilation, and reducing sunlight during the day — it all helped, but during bigger heatwaves the house still got pretty hot.
A few people I know also use heat pumps with cooling functions and they seem really happy with that setup too.
