I’m not an expert, but when I was looking into MVHR myself, I often came across comments saying that one of the biggest advantages is not having to open windows as often to keep the house ventilated. The air is constantly being refreshed, which makes the indoor environment feel more comfortable, especially during winter.

I also think it depends on the scale of the renovation. If you’re already carrying out major refurbishment work, adding MVHR could make a lot of sense. On the other hand, installing it in a fully finished home can be more complicated and expensive.

If I were renovating an older property and planning to improve the insulation, I would definitely consider an MVHR system. That said, I’d first speak with a professional to assess whether the building could take full advantage of what the system offers.
