Hi, we installed passive windows during our renovation mainly for better insulation in winter, but honestly I was surprised how much they helped during summer too 🙂

The house keeps a much more stable temperature overall. In winter it stays warmer for longer, and in summer the rooms don’t heat up as quickly as before. That said, if you get a lot of direct sunlight all day, you still need decent blinds or shading because any well-insulated house can start trapping heat during hotter weather.

Overall though, I’d say they definitely improved comfort year-round, not just in winter.
